Features

This piece, finished in a warm Caramel tone, measures 37.6 cm in width and 27.8 cm in height. It is crafted from Bamboo PLA—a lightweight, durable material with a soft matte texture. Bamboo PLA is plant-based and biodegradable when buried under specific conditions, such as in wet soil for 3–5 years, though normal use will not cause it to break down. All Maison Balzac bamboo pieces are made sustainably using bamboo from FSC-certified sources, making them an eco-friendly, renewable and responsible addition to your home, free from plasticizers and chemical agents. FDA and LFGB food-safety certified, this item is suitable for both indoor and (especially!) outdoor use.

    Care Instructions

    Although all Maison Balzac bamboo pieces are dishwasher safe on the top rack, we recommend a gentle hand wash in warm soapy water as this is a precious piece! For more stubborn stains, a light scrubbing with a cream cleanser will suffice. Do not place in the oven. This piece is suitable for the microwave on medium for no longer than 5 minutes. Do not exceed temperatures of 120 degrees celsius. This piece can come into contact with sauces, vinegars etc but we recommend not to use it for food products that contain dark or rich pigments as this may stain. Take care not to bump the platter against hard surfaces or other vessels during use or cleaning.

    The Cloud serving basket is the biggest piece of our lightweight collection, ideally suited for indoor and outdoor dinner parties. Inspired by the shape of 19th century papier-mâché baskets, it is playful, extremely practical yet unpretentious. Paired with one of our lightweight serving spoons, it is a go-to set that will take center stage of any picnics or light lunches. PS: we also love to fill it with ice to become the prettiest champagne cooler!
