Care Instructions

Maintain your New Zealand wool rug with gentle vacuuming and avoid harsh brushes that can damage its texture. For washing, use cold water on a delicate cycle with wool-specific detergent, avoiding fabric softeners and bleach that could compromise the natural properties of New Zealand wool. Allow natural air drying until just slightly damp before finishing with a brief low-heat tumble to restore that perfect plush finish. Commercial washers are recommended to avoid matting or excessive shedding, though spot cleaning remains an excellent alternative for quick fixes. Expect loose fibres in the first 3-4 months of your rug as it is a common property of premium New Zealand Wool rugs. While we apply an anti-shed treatment to minimize this, some shedding is natural as the wool settles and excess fibres work their way out.
