It's built for a standard Queen mattress — choose a standard Australian Queen mattress to suit the frame, which has an overall width of 195cm. The bed is designed to be used with a mattress in place.

No — timber slats are included, so you don't need to buy a separate slat base or ensemble. The slats sit within the frame to support your mattress directly. Just add your chosen mattress on top once the bed is assembled.
