We chat to her about her design process for this space and pick her brain for some expert styling advice to share with you...
How would you describe your aesthetic?
My design aesthetic has a modern, classic approach. I love versatile furniture that will be easily adaptable to suit seasonal colours and decor trends. I incorporate lots of textured layers in my styling to help emphasise a warm, inviting setting and usually gravitate towards materials such as oak, rattan and marble because they provide a timeless, neutral foundation.
The end result of your guest bedroom space is stunning! How did you go about styling it?
I started the design process for my guest bedroom with a subtle, sage green feature paint in mind. I then decided a minimal, oak bed frame would contrast and add warmth against the sage wall, allowing me to select a focal bedside table instead. This led me to the beautiful Delta Marble and Rattan Bedside Tables. I then purchased pendant lights with a marble base to tie the space together.
What is your favourite Life Interiors piece from this space, and why?
I think it’s a tie between the Delta Bedsides and the Aura Tan Leather Bench. The tan leather has a stunning, rich tone and I adore the oak detailing on its frame. What drew me to the bedside table is the rattan texture and how the veined marble adds a sleek, modern design element.
What is your ultimate styling tip for creating a cohesive space?
To ensure your setting is cohesive and flows nicely, keep your materials and colour palette consistent. Too many heroes within a space can be overwhelming and busy on the eye, so instead select furniture that compliments each other, even if that means one is more simplistic in design. When it comes to styling, use hues from within an artwork or wallpaper to disperse around the room to create balance and harmony- this can be in the form of linen, textiles, decor, rugs or books.
There is so much to love about Tarina's guest bedroom space, who wouldn't want to stay the night (or longer hopefully!) with a surrounding as stylish as this!
