Friends of Life and creative design duo, Haus of Cruze, have recently given their home an incredible new makeover, and we cannot get enough of it!
Melbourne-based husbands, Az and Jamie, have built their brand through their inspiring interiors content, with their own unique spin on things that is equally as hilarious as it is stunning.
Their curated Japandi-inspired home features standout spaces full of considered pieces from our collection, including the Noris Bar Stools, Amalfi Bed, Trivoli Dining Table, and Avalon Bedside Tables to name a few!
We caught up with Az to find out more about their personal style and styling process, including their top picks from Life!
How would you describe your personal interior style?
We tend to gravitate between both Scandinavian and Japandi styles with a pronounced focus on texture, earthiness and depth which is reflective of both of these styles.
What is your favourite Life piece within your home and why?
This is a tricky one to answer as we absolutely love all the Life pieces in our home. We would have to say that initially it would have to be our Amalfi Boucle King Bed. The curves are so sexy and the spherical legs are a gorgeous touch which adds a bespoke look and feel. However, the Trivoli Travertine Dining Table is such a statement piece. The travertine top is just gorgeous and paired with the solid ash wood makes for a stunning show-piece overall. It's textural, warm, earthy and inviting which is exactly the vibe we want to exude in our home.
What can we expect to see from Haus of Cruze in the future?
We are constantly evolving here at HOC HQ so you'll always see us re-painting a room, restyling a space and shaking things up! Our next big project on the horizon (2025/26) is completely gutting our backyard and creating a fabulous entertaining space with a pool.
What’s your best interior design tip?
Own your design aesthetic and be guided and inspired by spaces you love and see. If it makes you happy, run with it - everyone's style is personal and their own, so be confident with your choices and don't feel pressured to impress anyone but yourself. At the end of the day, you need to be happy in the home you've created.
