This corner glow up by Leah Williams featuring our Blake Boucle Armchair is everything!
Using just a few key Life pieces, adding some sheer curtains and a neutral rug, Leah has transformed a previously unused corner of her home into the perfect reading/ chill out nook.
We chat to her about how she went about 'glowing up' the space and how she juggles being a full time mum and full time influencer so fabulously...
How would you describe your personal interior style?
My style is definitely a mixed bag. A few, all rolled into one. A bit scandi, boho with a touch of retro as well.. And of course, keeping in mind that I have 3 tiny terrors (oops, I mean, lovely children) running around as well - so my style also has to be somewhat practical too… low coffee tables with decorative items are no longer on our radar. I try not to think of staying in the box of a particular style when selecting pieces for our home, rather just go by what we love and stands out.
We love how honest you are with your experiences of being a mum on your Instagram! How do you juggle being a full-time mum & a full-time influencer?
It’s all a bit of a juggle… but I feel like once you become a mum you’re suddenly a pro at juggling ALL the things at once. My partner and I split the parenting responsibility pretty equally, so I think that has a huge impact on our family as a whole. But of course that motherhood mental load is always there. And then there’s that old bugger of a thing called mum guilt too. I am big on outsourcing where you can. This idea that a mum can work AND be a stay at home mum and do ALL the house stuff at the same time is ridiculous. It’s just not possible. Since I had my third bub just under a year ago and continued to work at the same time I’ve had to really lean in to the outsourcing thing. My husband just recently had 4 months off on parental leave (I handed my maternity leave to him as I have kept working) and so with him being the primary carer I’ve been able to really lean into working more which I’ve loved! I hope I can inspire other mums to follow their own dreams too.
Tell us why you chose the products you did and how you went about styling them in this corner of your home?
I just love this little ensemble. Whenever I am styling a room or little nook I try to vision how it will all work in together. I always start with a base… so a lovely neutral rug. Rugs and sheer curtains make all the difference. Once you’ve got those in the other pieces just slot in beautifully together. I love the cream chair and then the pops of colour with the print. Now to just keep the kids away.
