A well-designed workspace can be defined by its ability to foster collaboration, comfort, productivity, and creativity. With the expertise of our amazing interior stylist Chanel from our Trade team, we are thrilled to share with you the incredible new office studio we designed for none other than Delta Goodrem!
From the initial briefs to designing the layout, choosing pieces, and finally installation, Delta’s studio space is one of our favourite collaborations to date.
We worked with some of our amazing brand partners to style this modern office including The Rug Collection and House of Slim, with the concept of creating each individual area as a hybrid work/leisure space for Delta and her team.
It features a stunning display of our Life Interiors range in addition to some Sarah Ellison pieces, and has been beautifully finished by our friends at Draperly.
We chat with Delta to find out more about her personal style and vision for the space, including her favourite pieces from Life!
How would you describe your personal interior style?
I can safely say it evolved dramatically from where I started with interiors in my first homes. It's funny because I think I'm quite the opposite in my interior style to my everyday life and probably even my personality. Because of how busy it always is around me, I love my home and my spaces to be minimalist and stripped back. Neutral, pared-back colours - warm whites, soft cream, beige offset by pops of black and gold. I love gold detail adding chic and class to the space. I like sleek and modern, contemporary styles.
Delta's vision for this space detailed her love of neutrals and soft earthy palettes with plenty of textures, and curvy statement pieces. Taking this into consideration, we incorporated the gorgeous linen look and bold rounded proportions of the Muse Sofa to provide a relaxing breakout spot that will also inspire creative thinking. The chic duo of the cream Jasper Boucle Armchairs brings an elegant warmth into the space with their woolly textures, and are balanced perfectly by the natural look and slatted timber of the Ipanema End Table.
We are obsessed with how this studio space came together! Which would you say is your favourite Life piece in the space and why?
I'm obsessed too! Obsessed with the whole thing really, I love how complete it feels now. Chic and stylish but still practical. If I had to choose one piece, it would be the large table in my boardroom (Mikado Dining Table by Ethnicraft) with my comfy chairs (Avalon Boucle Dining Chairs) as a lot of creative projects get done in this room. Everyone who comes into work or visits loves it.
The Mikado Dining Table is a sculptural statement piece that showcases the beauty of solid oak and functions as Delta's timeless boardroom table. Delta’s brief also referred to her love of gold accents, so the addition of our Avalon Boucle Dining Chairs was a given. Their stunning modern design is characterised by brushed gold legs and a white boucle upholstery.
We prioritised the versatility of our Noir Dining Table to double as a collaborative desk space for Delta and her team. We coupled this with our Blake Rattan Boucle Dining Chairs to complement various other textures in the space, with its natural rattan detailing, boucle seat and striking chrome frame for an ultra-modern touch.
Can you tell us more about your intentions for the space and why you chose to partner with Life Interiors?
The space really is so multipurpose. It's our office, a studio, a set. We've already recorded there, done tour rehearsals and big photoshoots, I really wanted my new space to feel homely and creative, equally nice to spend hours in there and get LOTS of work done. Which is exactly what the wonderful team at Life Interiors helped me achieve - we've got stunning styling and practicality. A big sofa and armchairs for everyone to hang out or do work if that's their style, big dining/working tables for the entire team to brainstorm at. This place really feels like home now and makes us feel like we can achieve anything!
It has been an absolute pleasure working with Delta and her amazing team, and we are so in love with how it has turned out!
